Lions Club Serving Up Summerfest Breakfast

The Prospect Hts. Lions Club will be serving up food and drinks at this weekend's Summerfest Celebration, then preparing for their its duck race and golf outing later in the season.

This Saturday, June 27, marks the city's annual Summerfest. The Lions Club will host a pancake breakfast in the morning, then serve up popcorn and water throughout the rest of the day. The pancake breakfast is a co-fundraising event with the Prospect Hts./Wheeling Baseball Softball League and the Prospect Hts./Wheeling Football Association. Pancakes will be served from 8 a.m. to noon and you can receive a dollar off your ticket if you bring three cans of food for the food pantry.

Then from noon to 10 p.m., the Lions Club will be selling popcorn and water.

The Summerfest Celebration is being held at Lions Park.

On Saturday, July 11, the club will be hosting its annual duck race. Tickets are $5 and prizes include $500 for first place, $300 for second and $200 for third.

The annual Lions Club Golf Outing will be held on Saturday, Aug. 8 at Old Orchard Country Club. Tickets are $95 and include dinner after golf.
