Prospect Hts. Park District

The following is a listing of upcoming Prospect Hts. Park District events:

Pool Opens June 12

The pool at the Gary Morava Recreation Center opens for the 2009 season today (Friday), June 12. Open swim hours are Monday-Friday, noon to 8 p.m.; Saturday, noon to 6 p.m.; Sunday, 1 to 5 p.m. Season passes are available. Sign up also available for swim lessons, Typhoons Swim Team and private pool rental. The pool is located at 110 W. Camp McDonald Rd., Prospect Hts.

Register for Summer Camp

Register for Summer Camp 2009 beginning Monday, June 15. Camps for ages 3-13 include before and after care, camp swim lessons, summer school camp, art camp and extended weeks at the end of summer.

SummerFest 2009

Prospect Hts. SummerFest 2009 will include a 5K, 10K and Kids Fun Run. Run down the streets of Prospect Hts. on Saturday, June 27, at 5 p.m. Proceeds benefit the memory of Prospect Hts. resident Lou Johnson. Register online at www.prospectheightsparkdistrict.org.

KinderStop

Kindergarteners can join KinderStop before or after school for play, crafts, games and other activities with monthly themes. Transportation provided to or from school serving Eisenhower and Betsy Ross schools.

Creative Kids Preschool

The Prospect Hts. Park District Creative Kids Preschool is accepting registration for the 2009-2010 school year. Ages 2 ½, 3 and 4-year-olds welcome. A five day option is also available.
