Read on the Wild Side! Summer Reading Club for Kids, age birth through grade 8, begins Monday, June 15 and runs through Aug. 8. Pre-registration began June 1 and continues through June 13.

Touched by Africa, June 24, 7 p.m.

Venture to the wild side of Kenya, Africa with a slide presentation by nature photographers Walt and Carol Anderson. Two trips to Kenya, and 20,000 slides later, they still haven't gotten over their love for this magnificent land. Learn about the animals and catch a glimpse of their life cycles, a birth in the morning, a death in the afternoon...hunting, grazing, migration...it all happens every day. Earn one "Read on the Wild Side" summer reading book credit when you attend this program. Register for all programs by calling or visiting the Information Desk, 847-259-3500 ext. 35, or register online at www.phpl.info.

June Lobby Artist, Christine Thornton's Art Studio, Artist Reception, is slated for Thursday, June 18, from 7-8 p.m.
