Police Blotter
The following items are from Prospect Heights Police Dept. incident reports. The Journal publishes this police blotter every week.
THEFT REPORTED
Four males left Denny's, 604 N. Milwaukee, without paying for meals valued at $52.89. The men told a manager they were going out for a smoke and never returned at around 4:40 a.m. Oct. 26.
A bicycle was stolen from 698 N. Milwaukee Ave., Rocky Vander's Café, between midnight and 5 p.m. Oct. 22.
DAMAGE TO PROPERTY
Four tires were slashed on a 1996 Dodge Stratus at 791 Piper Lane between 4 a.m. and 2:50 p.m. Oct. 28.
Two tires were slashed on a 2003 Chevrolet Impala at 824 E. Old Willow Rd. between 8 p.m. Oct. 23 and 12:15 p.m. Oct. 24.
DRUG
CHARGE
Corey Bucar, 20, of 325 Oak Creek, #101 in Wheeling, was charged with possession of cannabis, fleeing, no insurance, suspended driver's license and speeding. According to police reports, an officer saw Bucar speeding northbound on Elmhurst Road on Oct. 11. He was clocked at 55 mph in a 40 zone. When the officer pulled out, Bucar then immediately turned onto Glenbrook Dr. and pulled into a driveway. The officer reported seeing him exit the car and throw a small plastic bag into the trees before fleeing. The bag contents tested positive for 31 grams of marijuana. Bucar was later arrested at 14 E. Camp McDonald on Oct. 18.
