The following items are from Prospect Heights Police Dept. incident reports. The Journal publishes this police blotter every week.
DAMAGE TO PROPERTY
At least nine mailboxes were smashed within the last week in Prospect Heights. Mailboxes at 107, 201, 303, 304 and 305 W. Willow Rd. were smashed between 10 p.m. Apr. 26 and 8 a.m. Apr. 27. Also, mailboxes at 101, 107,109 and 201 N. Parkway were reported damaged between midnight and 6 a.m. Apr. 24.
BURGLARY
REPORTED
A Kenwood stereo was stolen from a silver 1999 Honda Civic at 836 E. Old Willow Rd. between 9:30 p.m. Apr. 23 and 5:30 a.m. Apr. 24. The left, rear door window was smashed on the vehicle.
THEFT OF SERVICE
A man left Dennys, 604 N. Milwaukee Ave., without paying for food and service totaling $13.33 around 1:10 a.m. Apr. 26.
THEFT
REPORTED
A woman reported putting her purse in a locker at 700 E. Euclid around 6 a.m. Apr. 27 with 1,000 in cash inside. When she returned around 2 p.m. there was only $500 inside.
A Gap jacket and miscellaneous keys were reported stolen from Rocky Vanders Café, 698 N. Milwaukee Ave., between 8 and 11 p.m. Apr. 21.
A Huffy-Rebel mountain bike was stolen from the driveway of 402 Tomah between 7 p.m. and 10 p.m. Apr. 18.
