New 'Light Jet' Hits Runways

It's a bird. It's a plane. It's the new Eclipse 500 "very light jet", or VLJ.

PAPA at Chicago Executive Airport (CEA), formerly known as the Palwaukee Airports Pilots Association last week hosted Ken Ross, president of North American Jet, to introduce the new Eclipse 500 VLJ.

His talk included performance capability, operating expense, and benefits of the VLJ fleet.

According to Public Relations Chairperson for PAPA Barry Axelrod, the Eclipse is the "new generation" of corporate aircraft being used in private charters today.

Ross' company is the first charter company in the Chicagoland area to manage the Eclipse 500.

NAJ plans to soon add the Eclipse to its charter certificate making it available to both old and new customers.

PAPA's mission is to promote the safety of operations and continued development of CEA in a fraternal environment with the pilots, users and the community.

CEA is co-owned by the Village of Wheeling and the City of Prospect Heights.
