Maryann Cacioppo
Of Niles
Maryann Cacioppo, 80, of Niles, passed away on Mar. 14 in her home. She was born Dec. 17, 1928 in Chicago and was a homemaker. She was a member of the St. John Brebeuf Church Women's Club. Visitation was at Skaja Terrace Funeral Home on Monday, Mar. 16. Funeral services followed at Skaja on Tuesday, Mar. 17 and St. John Brebeuf Church. Internment was at All Saints Mausoleum. She is preceded in death by her parents, Anthony and Mary DePietro. Survived by her sons, Marc (Bonnie) Cacioppo and Neal (Mary) Cacioppo. Daughter Nedine (Kevin) Murray; grandchildren, Paul, Ryan, Brian, Laura, Jessica and Megan; brother, John (Helen) DePietro and aunt to many.
Beverly R. Campbell
Formerly of Rolling Meadows
Beverly R. Campbell, 84, of Schaumburg, formerly of Rolling Meadows, died Mar. 18 in her home. She was born May 18, 1924 in Syracuse, New York, to the late Charles and Ella Schaaf. She worked as a librarian and had worked as a secretary for the City of Rolling Meadows Police Dept. for many years. She was the wife of the late Cy Campbell, the second police chief for Rolling Meadows, from 1956 to 1970. She was the mother of the late Victoria Stegeman; sister of Bette Kocian and the late Dorothy Magnusson and Grace Meller. Visitation was Monday, Mar. 23 at Meadows Funeral Home.
Louis A. Goodman
Of Niles
Louis A. Goodman, 96, of Niles, died on Saturday, Mar. 14 in his home. Born in Madison, Wisconsin, on Jan. 16, 1913, he was an electrical engineer. Visitation was at Skaja Terrace Funeral Home in Niles on Thursday, Mar. 19. Services were at Skaja and St. John Brebeuf Church on Thursday, Mar. 19 with burial in All Saints Mausoleum. Preceding him in death were his parents Louis William and Ottillia Goodman; wife, Josephine Goodman and sister Leona Hanson. He is survived by is son-in-law Gerald (late Maria) Kay; sister, Audrey Boyd; nieces Monya (Bill) Shenkenberg; Myrna (Chuck) Frederickson, Rita (Norbert) Svatos and Loire-Rene (Tom) Miller; nephew, William Boyd, as well as other nephews and nieces.

Vernon A. Gustafson, 81, of Park Ridge, died on Mar. 14. He was the husband of the late Rita (nee Malik); father of Craig, Debra (Bill) Woolland, Vivian (Steve) Palella, Kurt, Leana and the late Lori Ann Dolan; grandfather of nine; great grandfather of nine; brother of Vivian (Ron) Philip. Visitation was at the Cooney Funeral Home in Park Ridge on Monday, Mar. 16. Funeral services were Tuesday, Mar. 17. Interment in St. Adalbert Cemetery.

Linda J. Hand, 39, of Des Plaines, died on Mar. 15 in Northwest Community Hospital. She was born Nov. 19, 1969 in Des Plaines, was a Maine West graduate and a customer service representative for Kaehler World Travel, Inc. Visitation was Wednesday, Mar. 18 at Oehler Funeral Home with services Thursday at St. Emily Church in Mt. Prospect. She was buried in All Saints Cemetery. She is survived by her parents, Don and Bunny Hand; brothers, David (Karen) Hand, Michael (Jacqueline) Hand, Bryan (Gail) Hand; sister, Sandra (David) Podborny and many nieces and nephews.
Theresa M. Jiran

Theresa M. Jiran, 86, of Des Plaines, passed away on Mar. 13, in Hoffman Estates. Born on Apr. 2 in Arlington Hts., she married her late husband in 1940. She was a long-time Des Plaines resident and worked as a secretary at Dexs, Inc. Ms. Jiran was the wife of the late Erwin J. Jiran; mother of David (Kathleen), Donald (Lisa) Donna Jean, and Theresa Van Wazer (fiancé Robert E. Harris); grandmother of Eric (Colleen), Keith (Theresa), Amanda (Vince), Kristina (William), Donald (Fiancee Amy) Nikolas, Diana (Ed), Terri, Tasha (Alfredo), Victoria (Tom), Richard E., Michael (Lisa) Daniel (Stacey) and Lisa (Ed); great grandmother of 18 and great great grandmother of 2; sister of Elizabeth Heyse, Robert Felker and Barbara Kuhl. Visitation was Monday, Mar. 16, at G. L. Hills Funeral Home, Des Plaines, followed by a prayer service on Mar. 17 and a funeral mass at St. Mary Catholic Church, Des Plaines. Interment was in All Saints Cemetery, Des Plaines.

A funeral service for Walerian Maevsky, 84, of Des Plaines, was held Saturday, Mar. 21, in Skaja Terrace Funeral Home, Niles. Burial followed in Elmwood Cemetery. He worked as a welder in boiler repair and was a member of the Ukrainian Baptist Church. Surviving are his widow, Mary, of Des Plaines; and children Regina, Walter (Margaret), and Bill (Rose).
Joseph R. Morys

A funeral mass for Joseph R. Morys, 82, of Des Plaines, was celebrated Friday, Mar. 20, in St. Mary Church. Burial followed in All Saints Mausoleum. Arrangements are by Skaja Terrace Funeral Home, Niles. A native of Chicago, he died Mar. 16 in Lutheran General Hospital. He worked as an advertising specialties salesman. He was a member of the Chicago Federation of Musicians, Elks USA, VFW Niles Post 7712, and Chicago Society P.N.A. Surviving are his daughters, Suzanne and Nancy (Steve) Morys-Geyer, and grandchild Rachel Geyer.
Emmet P. O'Duignan

Emmet P. O'Duignan, 77, of Park Ridge, died on Mar. 12. He was the husband of the late Kay; son of the late Peter and Mary; brother of Peter (Yami) Duignan, Mary (Edward) Berry, the late John P. Duignan and Michael Ulicni, uncle of many nieces and nephews. Visitation was at Cooney Funeral Home, Park Ridge, on Sunday, Mar. 15. Funeral service was held Mar. 16 at St. Paul of the Cross Churchwith entombment in All Saints Cemetery.

Visitation for Suzan M. Styczenski, 59, of Des Plaines, was held Wednesday, Mar. 18, at Acacia Park Cemetery Chapel, Chicago. Interment followed in Acacia Park Cemetery. Born Dec. 8, 1949, in Chicago, she died Thursday, Mar. 12 in Park Ridge. Ms. Styczenski was the daughter of Merlin "Joe" and Blanche Gearon; mother of Jennifer (Terry) Hadfield and the late Robert; grandmother of Emily, Terry and Meghan; sister of Judith Gearon, Michael Gearon, Richard Gearon and Laura (Herb) Maher and aunt of Patrick Maher. Arrangements were made by Matz Funeral Home in Mt. Prospect.

Marcella C. Wieschaus, (nee Carner) 87, formerly of Birmingham, died Mar. 11 in the Lutheran Home of Arlington Hts. Born Sept. 20, 1921, she was the daughter of the late Marshall and Cornelia Carner, wife of the late Lee Roy J., mother of Kathleen (Peter) Voss, Elizabeth (Carl) La Ponte, Eric (Trudi) and Michael (Kathryn) Weischaus and Jennifer (George) Burkle. Grandmother of 16, great grandmother of 11. Memorial mass was held Saturday, Mar. 21, at St. James Church, Arlington Hts. Interment was at Lutheran Home Cemetery, Arlington Hts.
