BEARCE
of Park Ridge
A funeral service for Robert T. "Bob" Bearce, 86, was held on Monday, Oct. 16 at G.L. Hills Funeral Home.
Interment was at Ridgewood Cemetery.
Mr. Bearce was born on May 7, 1920 in Chicago. He was a resident of Park Ridge for 20 years. He worked as an export manager and retired from Justrite Management Company. He was a nationally known, award-winning daylily hybridizer. He was a member of the American Hermerocallis Society, the Chicagoland Daylily Society and the North Shore Iris and Daylily Society. He was also known for his acrylic paintings, a hobby of his after retirement. He died on Oct. 7, 2006 at St. Matthew's Center for Health in Park Ridge.
Mr. Bearce is survived by his sister Patricia (late Norman) Gohl, nieces Susan (David) McCurdy and Margaret McCurdy, nephew Douglas McCurdy, and friend Leonard Clarke.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to one's favorite charity in his name.

EGGERS
of Mt. Prospect
A visitation and funeral for Judith K. Eggers (nee Lense) 68, took place on Monday, Oct. 16 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Palatine. She was interred at Bethania Cemetery in Justice, Ill.
Mrs. Eggers was born on July 10, 1938 in Chicago. She worked as a chemist for Gould Inc. and Amoco Oil for many years. She died Friday, Oct. 13 at the Lutheran Home in Arlington Hts.
She was preceded in death by parents Edwin and Norma Lense. She is survived by daughter Gail (Bradley) Quarberg, grandchildren Nicolas and Merideth Quarberg, sisters Mariellen Lense and Anita (Walter) Schuble, and niece Gretchen Schuble.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Immanuel Lutheran Church.

of Park Ridge
A funeral service for Ann F. Hendzel, 85, took place on Saturday, Oct. 14 at Skaja Terrace Funeral Home.
A Mass will followed at St. Juliana Church in Chicago. Visitation took place on Friday, Oct. 13. Interment will be at St. Adalbert Cemetery.
Ms. Hendzel was born on Nov. 12, 1930. She was a homemaker for her family and a member of the Polish Women's Alliance of America. She died on Oct. 9, 2006 at her home.
Ms. Hendzel is preceded in death by her parents Stanley and Sophie Piekarz, sister Eleanore (late Matt) Burch and brother Stanley (Lottie) Piekarz.
She is survived by her son Theodore S. (Carol), daughters Dolores (Frank) Cavalluzzi and Diane (Nolan) Birkenkamp, grandchildren Kelly Hendzel, Erin (Jake) Heringer, David (Samantha) Birkenkamp, Jim (Tracy) Birkenkamp and Kate Hendzel, great grandchild Evan Birkenkamp, sister Mary (late John) Cierny and brother Mitchel (Pat) Piekarz.

of Elk Grove Village
A funeral service for Kathryn E. Hoch (nee Parker), 61, took place on Saturday at Grove Memorial Chapel in Elk Grove Village.
Mrs. Hoch was born in Salt Lake City, Utah. She died Tuesday, Oct. 10, at Alexian Brothers Medical Center.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Margery Parker. She is survived by her husband of 41 years, Robert Hoch, loving children Steve (Sue) Hoch, Tom (Sandy) Hoch, Christian (Trisha) Hoch, and Karin Hoch, her cherished grandchildren Robert, Francesca, Sarah, Taylor, and Emma, and her fond siblings Christopher (Grace) Parker, Lee (Roger) Nickle, and Stephanie (Glenn) Fleming.

A funeral service for Catherine T. O'Grady (nee Hyland), 70, will take place Wednesday, Oct. 18 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Jullana Church. Mass at 11:30 a.m. Visitation took place Tuesday, Oct. 17 at the Cooney Funeral Home in Park Ridge. She will be interred at All Saints Cemetery.
Mrs. O'Grady was a native of Kilasser County Mayo, Ireland. She died Friday, Oct. 13.
She was preceded in death by her brother Paddy O'Grady. She is survived by her beloved husband Michael, devoted children Michael (Jennifer), James (Lisa), Noreen and Kathy, beloved grandchildren Katie, Abbey, Eamon, Delaney and Shannon, dear siblings Dan (the late Georgina) Hyland, Val (Chris) Hyland, May (Seamus) Durkan, and Bridle (Eamon) Egan. She was the fond aunt of many.

of Schaumburg
A funeral service and visitation for Mary C. Papa (nee Duffle), 95, took place on Friday, Oct. 13 at the Meadows Funeral Home in Rolling Meadows. Mrs. Papa was interred at All Saints Cemetery in Des Plaines.
Mrs. Papa was born January 26, 1911 in Hindsboro, Ill. A longtime General Electric employee, she died Oct. 10, 2006 at Alexian Brothers Medical Center in Elk Grove Village.
Mrs. Papa was preceded in death by her husband Frank J. Papa and her sisters Bernice Heaton, Doris Dunn, and Reafie Beauchamp. She is survived by her sister Marie (late Paul) Samelsen, her niece Linda (Carl) McHugh, and her great nephew Colin (Amber) McHugh and Clinton (Susan) McHugh. She was great great aunt to two.

A funeral service for Florence Pauter, 86, took place at Skaja Terrace Funeral Home and at St. John Brebeuf Church on Saturday, Oct. 7.
Visitation was held at Skaja Terrace Funeral Home on Friday, Oct. 6.
Ms. Pauter was born on March 2, 1920 in Chicago. She died Thursday, Oct. 5 at Regency Nursing Home.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Pauter. She is survived by friends Vaughn Sobczyk and Norbert Sobczyk.

RIEMER
of Park Ridge
Alma Louise Virginia Riemer nee Johnson, 88, passed away Oct. 7. She was born March 19, 1918.
She worked for Douglas Aircraft during World War II and was a member of Queen Ester Chapter 41.
O.E.S. burial will be at sea in Isla Morada, Florida, near Alligator Lighthouse.
Mrs. Riemer was preceded in death by her husband, Dave, parents Alma and Victor Johnson, and siblings Mabel Riemer, George Johnson, and Mabel Johnson. She is survived by sons Lee (Jany) and Jeff, grandchildren and "apple of her eyes" Renee and Justin, and dear friend "til the end" Judith O'Tura.

of Elk Grove Village
A funeral service for Catherine G. Tasche took place on Thursday, Oct. 12 at the Monroe Center Community Church, in Monroe Center, Ill.
Visitation was held at the church that morning. Additional visitation was Wednesday, Oct. 11 at Grove Memorial Chapel in Elk Grove Village. Interment was at Monroe Center Cemetery.
Catherine was preceded in death by beloved husband Henry W. and son Henry R. (Tamara Leikam). She is survived by loving children Leon (Karen) Tasche and Cheryl (Roger) Ruchtl, and cherished grandchildren Lindsay, Kendall, Thomas, and Lauren Tasche. She also leaves many loved nieces, nephews, and friends.
