    JANET BALDIZON

    A funeral mass for Janet Baldizon, 62, took place Tuesday, Sept. 26, at Friedrichs Funeral Home in Mt. Prospect. Visitation was held Monday, Sept. 25 at the funeral home. Baldizon was survived by her son Christopher (Julie) Klatka; grandchildren Samantha and Sydney Klatka; and sisters Sophie Dutton and Yvonna Rubacha. She was preceded in death by her husband Benny Baldizon. Internment was private.

    ANN BORKOVICH
    Of Morton Grove

    A funeral service for Ann Borkovich, 74, took place on Thurs., Sept. 28 at Holy Resurrection Serbian Orthodox Cathedral. Visitation was held on Weds., Sept. 27 at Skaja Terrace Funeral Home. The interment took place at Montrose Cemetery. Ms. Borkovich was born on Nov. 16, 1931 in Chicago. She was a homemaker and a memeber of the Circle of Serbian and Sisters and Eastern Star. She is preceded in death by her parents Louis and Emily (Angelich) Palandech and her husband Dan K. Borkovich. She is survived by her daughters Sandra (Gary) Schouten and Emily Scheck (Mike Green), son Kris (Eileen) Borkovich, grandchildren Jillian and Dan Schouten and Jack, Katie and Nick Borkowich.     DONALD M. BUX
    Of Niles

    A funeral service for Donald D. Bux, 44, was held on Monday, Sept. 25 at Skaja Terrace Funeral Home and St. John Brebeuf Church. Visitation was Sunday, Sept. 24 at the funeral home. The interment was held at All Saints Cemetery. Mr. Bux was born on May 25, 1962 in Niles. He worked in the building products field. He died on Sept. 19, 2006. Mr. Bux is survived by his parents Donald A. (Rosemaire C) Bux, his brother David, nephew Maleah and God mother Carmella Wawrzyniak.

    DAVID M. CLARKE JR.
    Elk Grove Resident

    A funeral service for David M. Clarke Jr., 42, will take place at 7:30 p.m. tonight at Grove Memorial Chapel. Visitation is from 3 to 9 p.m. today at the chapel. Mr. Clarke Jr. was a carpenter and member of the Carpenteršs Union Local 839. He was a native of Dublin, Ireland and resident of Elk Grove for 35 years. He died on Sept. 24, 2006. He is survived by his parents David Clarke Sr. and Phyllis nee Bartley, brothers Henry F. (Laura) and Paul M. (Meg), and nephew Taylor M. Clarke. He also has many relatives and friends in Dublin.

    MABEL WURL DEERING
    of Rolling Meadows

    A funeral mass for Mabel Wurl Deering (nee Likens), 84, took place Sunday, Sept. 24, at the Meadows Funeral Home in Rolling Meadows. Visitation was held that morning at the funeral home. Deering was a long time resident of Rolling Meadows. She worked for Delux check Printing Company for over 18 years. She was borne in Chicago in 1921 and died in her home on Sept. 22. Deering is survived by her husband Alvin J. Deering; her children William (Janet) Wurl Jr. and Heidi Welborn; grandchildren Denise (Steven) Joseph, Ken Welborn, Diane (Matt) Doll and Collen (Ben) Prifogle; eight great grandchildren; siblings Albert (Mary) Likens and Shirley Russell. She was preceded in death by her first husband William R. Wurl Sr. and her sister Dorothy Olsen. Interment was private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Association and the American Cancer Society.

    AGNES R. FISCHER
    Great-grandmother of three

    Agnes R. Fischer (nee Reckert) of Arlington Hts. died Wednesday, Sept. 20. She was born April 29, 1916 in Chicago. She spent 54 years with the late Herbert M. Fischer, and they raised Edward (Gayle), Mary Anne (Thomas) Thompson, Joseph and Barbara. Her grandchildren included Paul, Lisa (Bill) Hanney, Julie (Jeff) Lyons and Tom Thompson, Jr. Her great-grandchildren were Isabella, Liam and Alexis. She grew up with six siblings: Mary Cannon, John (Gloria), Frank, Richard, the late Adeline and the late Bernard. Visitation was Friday and Saturday, Sept. 22 and 23, with her funeral Saturday at St. Raymond Church, Mt. Prospect. Mrs. Fischer was buried in All Saints Cemetery.

    MARY D. FITZSIMMONS
    Of Park Ridge

    A funeral service for Mary D. Fitzsimmons, (nee Doyle), 82, was private on Sept. 19. The visitation and internment at All Saints Cemetery were private as well. Ms. Fitzsimmons was born on May 19, 1924 in Boston, MA. She died on Sept. 17, 2006 at Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge, IL. She was preceded in death by her husband George F. and daughters Margaret and Maureen Fitzsimmons. She is survived by sons William D. (Janet) and James B. (Nora Cools), and granddaughters Victoria and Jennifer Fitzsimmons.

    MARY HADRA
    Of Park Ridge

    A funeral service for Mary Hadra, (nee Parth), 92, took place on Friday, Sept. 22 at Ryan Parke Funeral Home. Visitation was held on Thurs, Sept. 21 and Interment took place at Memory Gardens Cemetery. Ms. Hadra was born on Nov. 28, 1913 in Chicago. She died on Sept. 19, 2006 at Resurrection Medical Center in Chicago. She was preceded in death by her husband Joseph A.. She is survived by children Geraldine (Robert) Cooper and Leonard J. (Shirley), grandchildren Carolyn and Micheal, and sisters Kate (the late Donald) Siagel and Helen (Ted) Buczynski, as well as many nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Rainbow Hospice, 444 N. Northwest Hwy., Park Ridge, IL, 60068.

    RALPH A. HERBERTS
    WWII Army Veteran

    A funeral service for Ralph A. Herberts, 93, took place on Saturday, Sept. 23 at Cooney Funeral Home in Park Ridge. Visitation was held Friday, Sept. 22 at the funeral home and interment at All Saints Cemetery. Mr. Herberts was born on March 29, 1913. He was a WWII Army Veteran and retired employee of ComEd. He was also a member of the ComEd American Legion Post. He passed away on Saturday, Sept. 9, 2006. He was preceded in death by his wife Florence (nee Keenan) and parents August and Edith. He is survived by sister-in-law Rosemary Moran, as well as a multitude of nieces and nephews.

    ANDREW G. JACKSON
    Of Des Plaines

    A funeral service for Andrew G. Jackson, 83, will take place on Saturday, Sept. 30 at Severinošs River Woods Funeral Chapels. Visitation was scheduled to be held today, Friday, Sept. 29 at the funeral home and interment took place in Irving Park Cemetery. Mr. Jackson was born on Sept. 14, 1923 in Chicago. He served in the U.S. Army before moving to Des Plaines in 1951. He worked as an electrotyper and then as a postal clerk at the Des Plaines Post Office. He died on Tuesday Sept. 26, 2006 at the Joliet Hospice Home. Mr. Jackson was preceded in death by his parents Andrew E. and Rose Jackson. He is survived by his children Bea "Betty Ann" Moreau (Wayne Gaston), Paul (Kim) and Wendy (Joe) Hendrickson, his brother Daniel (Connie) Jackson, and his grandchildren Elysia and Rachel Moreau, Tai Gaston, Matthew and Ashley Jackson and Joe Hendrickson.

    GERMAINE KELHI
    Former Arlington Heights Resident

    A funeral Mass for Germaine Kelhi, 81, took place on Fri., Sept. 22, at St. Michaels Catholic Church in Poway, CA. The inurnment followed the service at Dearborn Memorial Park, also in Poway. Ms. Kelhi was born on July 4, 1925 in Little Falls, NY. She was a homemaker and resident of Arlington Heights for 22 years. She died on Sept. 15, 2006 in Escondido, CA. She is survived by sons in law Michael (Shelley) Kelhi, Patrick (Kim) Kelhi, and David Kelhi and daughters in law Loretta Anderson, Kathleen (Archie) Budnikas, Germaine (Marty) Murphy, and Susan (Rhonda) Kelhi., as well as sister in law Claire (Bernard) Adamski. Ms. Kelhi was also survived by her 19 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations to Country Club Guest Home, 25533 Rue Michelle Rd.     FLORENCE M. KROK
    Of Elk Grove Village

    A funeral Mass for Florence M. Krok (nee Madej), 80, will take place at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 30 at Queen of the Rosary Church in Elk Grove Village. Chapel prayers will start at 10:30 a.m. at Grove Memorial Chapel in Elk Grove Village. Visitation will be Friday, Sept. 29, from 3 to 9 p.m. at the Funeral Home. Mrs. Krok was born in Chicago and lived in Niles before moving to Elk Grove Village two years ago. She died Thursday, Sept. 21, 2006, at her home. She was preceded in death by her son Jerome; her parents Joseph and Lucy; and her siblings Angie (the late Stanley) Gancarz, Mary (the late Richard) Baschleben and Alice (Edwin) Piecuch. Her sons Kevin (Barbara) and Michael (Mary); her grandchildren Kimberly, Andrew and Caroline; and her sister Josephine (the late John) Zima survive her. In lieu of flowers, donations in her name can be made to Queen of the Rosary Church.

    ELEANOR MALTEN
    Of Des Plaines

    A funeral service for Eleanor Malten (nee Gibson), 84, took place on Sat. Sept. 23 at G.L. Hills Funeral Home in Des Plaines. Visitation was held before the service on Sept. 23. The interment was private. Mrs. Gibson was born on Feb. 24, 1922 in Chicago. She graduated from Jones Commercial High School and was a homemaker. She was also a member of the LATOFF YMCA and was an avid swimmer. She once swam 300 miles in a year. Mrs. Gibson also enjoyed sailing and bowling in her free time. She died Sept. 15, 2006 at Friendship Village in Schaumburg. Mrs. Gibson was preceded in death by her late brother Carl (June) Gibson She is survived by husband George Malten, son Ken (Amy) Malten, daughter Kathy Williams, and brother Elmer (Jayne) Gibson. She was also a loving grandmother to grandchildren Samantha (Wayne) Goble, Greta (Jim) Hoff, Matt (Betsy), Sara (Ben) Cox, and Ben (Kristy) Williams, as well as great grandchildren Olivia, Riley, Grace, Reece, and Braedan.

    JOHN E. ROBERTS
    WWII Veteran from Des Plaines

    A funeral Mass for John E. Roberts, 93, a resident of Des Plaines for more than 50 years, took place on Saturday, Sept. 23, at St. Petronille Church in Glen Ellyn. Interment was private. Visitation preceded the Mass. Mr. Roberts was born on May 22, 1913 in Chicago. He served in WWII and the Naval Reserve as a Lt. Commander, and then became a long time employee of the Chicago Board of Education. He taught at Tilden and Lane Technical high schools before joining the Boardšs Central Office in 1962 where he worked on new and innovative programs for high school dropouts. He retired in 1974 as Director of the Urban Youth Program. He died Monday, Sept. 18, 2006, in Wheaton. He was preceded in death by his wife Margaret and his parents John and Ann Roberts. His son Dr. John Roberts, his daughter Peggy (Richard) Carlson and four grandchildren, Claire (Michael) Fitzpatrick, Meghan Roberts, Erin Carlson, and Tara Carlson, survive him: In lieu of flowers, contributions to CNS Hospice of DuPage, 790 E. North Ave., Carol Stream, Ill. 60188 are appreciated. Hultgren Funeral Home in Wheaton made funeral arrangements.

    MARJORIE L. RYAN
    Mother, grandmother

    Marjorie L. Ryan of Palatine died Thursday, Sept. 21 in Arlington Hgts. She was born July 28, 1926 in Chicago. She married Michael, and was the mother of Pattiann Grigsby, grandmother of Ryan and Arielle Grigsby and sister of Grace Ward. Her funeral and burial were private.

    MICHAEL J. WALL
    Of Des Plaines

    A funeral service for Michael J. Wall, 72, will take place on Thurs., Sept. 28 at 8 p.m at G.L. Hills Funeral Home, 745 Graceland Ave., Des Plaines. A memorial visitation will be held on Thurs. as well from 4 p.m. until the sevice at 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Mr. Wall was a member of The Stewart Club in Park Ridge and of the Chicago Typographical #16 Union. Mr. Wall was preceded in death by his parents Patrick Wall and Nova (Harold) Jacoby. He is survived by his sister Joan DiLeonardi and brother Dr. Larry Jacoby. He is also survived by his eight children and his grandchildren.
