PATRICIA A. BAUER
Age 77
Patricia A. Bauer (nee Scheiner) of Rolling Meadows passed away Jan. 24 at Northwest Community Hospital in Arlington Hts. A funeral Mass was held Monday at St. Colette Church, followed by interment at St. Michael Cemetery.
Mrs. Bauer was preceded in death by siblings Laura Zack, Theresa Meier and John R., Robert and James (Cranston) Schreiner. Survivors include husband Robert; children Jeffrey R. and Jon N. Bauer and Patricia Ann (Thomas) Larabee; grandson Jon N. Jr.; brother-in-law Ralph (Geir) Bauer; and many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hospice of Northeastern Illinois, 410 S. Hager, Barrington, 60010.
CLEM ILDE BAYAG
Of Elk Grove
A funeral Mass for Clem Ilde Bayag, 15, of Elk Grove Village was celebrated Saturday (Jan. 28) in St. Hubert Church, 729 Grand Canyon St. in Hoffman Estates. Interment followed in St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery.
Arrangements were by Grove Memorial Chapel Funeral Home.
A freshman at Conant High School, he died Jan. 22.
Surviving are parents Clemente and Angelina; several aunts and uncles; several cousins and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for Legia M. Biga, nee Zabklicki, 83, took place on Thursday, Jan. 26, at 9:15 a.m. at Skaja Terrace Funeral Home and at 10:00 a.m. at St. Juliana Church. Visitation was at Skaja on Wednesday, Jan. 25. Interment was at St. Adalbert Cemetery.
Mrs. Biga was born on Aug. 23, 1924 in Chicago. She was a librarian at the Niles Library. She died on Jan. 20 at Midwest Palliative and Hospice Care in Skokie.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Anthony M. and Jolanta nee Miller Zabklicki.
She is survived by her husband Frank Joseph Biga, a daughter Barbara Ann (James J.) Kubik, a son Frank Joseph II (Linda) Biga, grandchildren James W. Kubik, Frank Joseph III Biga, Cathryn Biga, and Robert Biga, and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral arrangements were made by Skaja Terrace Funeral Home.
JOHN J. BREEN SR.
Of Niles
A funeral Mass for John J. Breen Sr., 88, of Niles was celebrated Jan. 21 in St. John Brebeuf Church. Interment followed in All Saints Cemetery.
Arrangements were made by Skaja Terrace Funeral Home.
A native of Chicago, he died Jan. 18 in Resurrection Pavillion Nursing Center.
Surviving are children John (Celeste) J. Breen Jr., Carol (John) Verzani, Mary Breen; grandchildren Jennifer Breen, John III Breen, Patrick Breen, Michael Verzani and Christina Verzani; a brother William ³Bud² (Margaret) Breen; plus several nieces and nephews.
He was proceeded in death by his father William James Breen; mother Margaret Ann (Begg) Breen; wife Margaret (nee Offenbecher) Breen; and sisters Helen and Margaret.
Memorials are requested to the St. Vincent De Paul Society.
LOIS ANN CRISE
Of Palatine
A funeral service for Lois Ann Crise (nee Sappington), 70, of Palatine, was held in the Rolling Meadows Funeral Home Jan. 25. A private interment followed.
Born in Highland Park, she lived in both Arlington Heights and Palatine. She worked for the Northwest Suburban Special Education for over 27 years and was a member of the Palatine women's club and many bridge clubs.
Surviving are her husband, Jere; children Traci (Chester) Matysek and Scott (Martha) Crise; grandchildren Nichols, Jennifer Matysek, Natalie and Cynthia Crise; a brother Richard (Betty) Sappington.

MARY ELLEN GALLAGHER
Of Chicago
A funeral service for Mary Ellen Gallagher nee Byrne, 83, took place on Monday, Jan. 23, at St. Vincent DePaul Church in Chicago. Visitation was at Cooney Funeral Home in Park Ridge with interment at All Saints Cemetery.
Mrs. Gallagher died on Jan. 19. She was the beloved wife of Neil Sr. for 60 wonderful years. She was the devoted mother of Tom (Judy), Peggy (Joe), Arp, Mike, Jim (Karen), Neil Jr., Mary Kay (Larry) Aronson, Terry (Joanne), and the late Timmy. Also, the cherished grandmother of Brian, Joe, Courtney, David, Kelly, Melissa, Tim, Danny, Matthew, Molly, and Ryan, the dear great-grandmother of Anna, the loving sister of Jim (Jane) Byrne and the late Cornelius (Dolores), John, and Frank (Joan) Byrne.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Children's Memorial Hospital, Pediatric Care Center, in Chicago.

MYRTLE HERATY
of Glenview
A funeral mass for Myrtle C. Heraty, nee Markovich, 94, took place on Saturday, Jan. 21 at St. Paul of the Cross Church. Interment was at All Saints Cemetery and visitation was Friday, Jan. 20 at Cooney Funeral Home in Park Ridge.
Mrs. Heraty was preceded in death by her husband, Edward P. Heraty. She is survived by her sister, Helen Vandermolen; her nieces Violet Markowitz, Shirley Murphy and Margaret Rabe; and many great-nieces and great-nephews.

RAYMOND HINZE
Of Mt. Prospect
A funeral service for Raymond E. Hinze, 85, took place on Tuesday, Jan. 31, at G.L. Hills Funeral Home in Des Plaines. Interment will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery in Arlington Heights.
Mr. Hinze was born on Aug. 16, 1020 in Evanston. He was employed as a sheet metal journeyman and owned Black Acre farm and roadside stand for 47 years. He was also on the board of directors of the Cook County Farm Bureau. He died at his home on Jan. 27.
He was preceded in death by his brother Harvey (Barbara) and a sister Esther.
He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Laura (nee Fritz); his children David, Howard (Sharon), Karen (James) Gutzmer and Peggy (James) Refenes; grandchildren Peter, Mark, Kevin, Steven, Matthew, Josh, Rachel, James, Rebecca and Leah; six great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Rainbow Hospice or Concordia Seminary in St. Louis.

DONALD LEROY KAISER
Of Des Plaines
A funeral service for Donald LeRoy Kaiser, 81, was held Tuesday, Jan. 31, at the G.L. Hills Funeral Home, 745 Graceland Ave., Des Plaines. Interment took place in Rock Island National Cemetery in Rock Island, Ill.
Born April 15, 1924, in Moline, Ill., he passed away Saturday, Jan. 28 in his home.
Mr. Kaiser was an industrial chimney inspector, and was a World War II Marine Corps veteran who had been stationed in the Aleutian Islands.
He is survived by his wife, Sandy (nee Lipp); sons and daughters, Dana, Mark, Kim, Kevin, Steven, Jeffrey (Kris) and Denise (Jeff); grandchildren, Amy, Travis, Patrick, Mark A., Cati, Jacob, Samantha, Lucas, Marissa and Charlie; and his sisters, Shirley (David) and Marilyn (Byrad). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

WALTER C. KRAUSE
Age 80
Arlington Hts. resident Walter C. Krause died Jan. 25 at Lutheran Home For The Aged. He was celebrated with services at Skaja Terrace Funeral Home and Montrose Cemetery.
Mr. Krause was a switchman for Illinois Bell by trade and a veteran. He belonged to the Moose Lodge, American Legion Post #134 and the Niles Senior Center.
Mr. Krause was preceded in death by parents Walter Paul and Ruth (nee Jenke) Krause and grandson Eric. Survivors are wife Dorothy (nee Sinkovitz) Krause; sons Walter Paul (Susan), Thomas, Dee (Cathy Van Alstin) and Jeffrey Scott (Donna); daughter Nancy (John B.) Bello; and grandchildren Brian (Michelle), John, Robert (Erin), Joseph, James, Michael and Mark.

ROMAN MADURA
Of Niles
Roman Madura passed away Jan. 23 at the age of 84. The Chicago native was celebrated with services over the weekend at Skaja Terrace Funeral Home, St. Isaac Jogues Church and Maryhill Cemetery.
A truck drive for Cushing & Co. by trade, Mr. Madura had also served in the armed forces. He is preceded in death by parents Stanley and Evan (nee Lechi) Madura.
Mr. Madura is survived by wife Jeanette; daughters Phyllis (Paul) Fleskamp, Diane Madura and Donna (David) Okun; grandchildren Paul (Vicki), Matthew (Gwen), Michael and Jennifer; and great-grandchildren Maddie, Drew, Ian and Zach.
VALERIE METELKA
Former Nurse
A funeral mass for Valerie Metelka, 56, of Park Ridge was celebrated Jan. 26 in Mary, Seat of Wisdom Church. A private interment followed.
Arrangements were made by Nelson Funeral Home.
A registered nurse for Skokie Health Dept. and at Rush-Northshore Medical Center, she died Jan. 23.
Surviving is her daughter Brenda.
VERONICA MILLER
of Park Ridge
Funeral services for Veronica L. Miller, nee Panek, 83, took place on Monday, Jan. 30 at Skaja Terrace Funeral Home in Niles at 9 a.m. and at St. Paul of the Cross Church at 10 a.m. Visitation was at Skaja on Sunday; interment was at Acacia Park Cemetery.
Mrs. Miller was born on Oct. 25, 1932 in Chicago. She was a homemaker and died on Jan. 24 at Resurrection Medical Center.
She was preceded in death by her parents Thaddeus and Ann nee Slupikowski Panek.
She is survived by her son James (Debra) Miller; daughters Debbie (Bruce) Schoenrock and Barbara Miller; grandchildren Christina, Stefanie, Justin and Dixie; a brother Ted (Patti) Panek; and a sister Lydia (Tom) Chester. She was also the fond aunt and cousin of many.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Lung Assn. or to the Humane Society.

PATRICIA F. VELINSKI
Age 73
Patricia F. Velinski (nee Lauter), 73, of Rolling Meadows died Jan. 22 at her home. She was born Mar. 23, 1932 in Chicago.
Mrs. Velinski is survived by husband Richard; daughters Linda (Albert) Colombini and Susan (Michael) Connolly; sons Richard (Donna) and James (Gisela); 11 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; sister Nancy (Frank) Mruczka; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation took place Tuesday at Meadows Funeral Home. Mass was held Wednesday) at 10 a.m. at St. Colette Church, followed by interment at St. Michael Cemetery in Palatine.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
ELEANOR WILSON
of Des Plaines
A funeral service for Eleanor Wilson (nee Naponelli), 73, will take place on Wednesday, Feb. 1 at Nelson Funeral Home in Park Ridge. Interment is at the Town of Maine Cemetery. Visitation was Tuesday, Jan. 31 at Nelson.
Mrs. Wilson was a waitress at the Golden Flame Restaurant in Chicago. She was also a member of the Red Hats and the Des Plaines Senior Center. She died on Saturday, Jan. 28.
She is survived by her children Lenore (Karl) Berglund, Alan (Cheryl) and Dale (Kathy) and her grandchildren Kim Granacki, Nickolas, Sarah, Zachary and Molly. She was the fond sister of the late Mamie, Celia Romano, Rose Vitale, Jerry, Martin, Charlie, Tony and Mike.

A funeral service for Gary A. Wojtczak, of Elk Grove, took place Thursday, Jan. 26, 10 a.m. at Grove Memorial Chapel. Interment took place at All Saints Cemetery. Visitation took place Wednesday, Jan. 25, 3 to 9 p.m. at Grove Memorial Chapel.
Born in Chicago, Mr. Wojtczak was a 36-year employee of A. Finkl & Sons. He is a former resident of Park Ridge, and he lived in Elk Grove for five years. Mr. Wojtczak died Sunday, Jan. 22 at home.
Mr. Wojtczak is preceded in death by his brother John (Mary).
Mr. Wojtczak is survived by his wife Debra; his brother Gene (Marge); sisters Lillian (Mike) Nardstadt and Irene Huff; mother-in-law Dorothy Hodous; brothers-in-law Michael Hodous and George (Toni) Hodous; and many nieces and nephews.
