Golf Mill Target Store Cleared To Sell Alcohol

The Target store at Golf Mill Shopping Center in Niles will begin selling beer, wine and liquor soon.

Niles village trustees at their Tuesday, Feb. 23 meeting granted Target a Class C liquor license, allowing the retailer to sell beer, wine and hard alcohol.

Company officials said the store will begin carrying alcohol in late spring or early summer but would not be more specific about dates. Target said selling liquor would emphasize "one stop shopping" to serve all shoppers needs at one location.

Though the license is approved, village officials are still awaiting final paperwork from Target before issuing the license.

Target's other Niles location at 6150 W. Touhy Ave. already sells wine.
