CHARGED
Robert J. Gagliano, 51, of 7949 Neva St., Niles, was charged with domestic battery at an unreleased time on July 15. He was taken into custody at his home, but police released no further details.
THEFTS
CHARGED
Theresa S. Muehlenbeck, 43, of 481 W. Edward Court, Des Plaines, was charged with felony theft at 2 p.m. July 15. She allegedly took an employee's purse from Magic Scissors, 9110 W. Golf Rd. A witness described Muehlenbeck to police who located her in the 9600 block of Dee Road. The purse, missing jewelry, a store club card, and $100 cash, was recovered from a nearby grocery store.
An 18-year-old Des Plaines man was charged with theft after he allegedly stole a bicycle from Golf Mill Mall. Police were called to the mall at 3:20 p.m. July 14 and identified the man as a suspect through video surveillance footage. Officers went to his home and allegedly saw the bicycle inside the residence when his mother opened the door.

Mario B. Grana, 31, of 8730 W. Park Lane, Niles, was charged with battery at 12:45 a.m. July 13. He allegedly threw a beer bottle at a 47-year-old Lyons man in the 7200 block of Waukegan Road, striking him in the forehead. Police located him about a block from the alleged incident.
DRUG
CHARGES
Marcus D. Allen, 19, of 10469 Deerlove Rd., Glenview, was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, illegal possession of alcohol by a minor, driving with a suspended driver's license, and only one red taillight. Police stopped him at 4:01 p.m. July 17 in the 6600 block of Howard Street for the alleged lighting violation. During a search, police allegedly recovered an electronic scale with a trace amount of marijuana and an open bottle of alcohol.
DUI
CHARGES
Andres Cajigal, 54, of 8642 W. Golf Rd., Des Plaines, was charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol, blood alcohol content more than .08 percent, and speeding. An officer stopped him on Milwaukee Avenue near Golf Road for allegedly driving at 57 mph in a 35 mph zone at 12:46 a.m. July 17. He allegedly failed field sobriety tests and later recorded a .158 on a breath test.
Daniel J. Gibbons, 39, of 26 N. Prindle Ave., Arlington Heights, was charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol and speeding at 12:20 a.m. July 17. Police pulled him over in the 8400 block of Milwaukee Avenue for allegedly driving at 50 mph in a 35 mph zone. He allegedly had bloodshot eyes, a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage on his breath, and told the officer he had four or five beers. He allegedly refused field sobriety and breath testing.
Jose Morales, 30, of 4425 N. Central Park Ave., Chicago, was charged with aggravated driving while under the influence of alcohol, blood alcohol content more than .08 percent, no valid driver's license, and improper lane usage. Police stopped him at 11:26 p.m. July 16 in the 6800 block of Caldwell Avenue after he allegedly crossed the centerline. He allegedly failed field sobriety tests and later recorded a .138 on a breath test.
Candido T. Garcia, 31, of 2343 N. Mango Ave., Chicago, was charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol, blood alcohol content more than .08 percent, and no valid driver's license. An officer located him stopped in the 6600 block of Milwaukee Avenue at an unreleased time on July 15. His vehicle was running and he told the officer he couldn't shift his car into gear. He allegedly failed field sobriety tests and later recorded a .152 on a breath test.
Joseph F. Lupy, 43, of 1072 Irwin Ave., Des Plaines, was charged with two counts of aggravated driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs, driving with a suspended driver's license, and improper lane usage. An officer located him in the 9000 block of North Milwaukee Avenue at 3:29 a.m. July 14 where he had allegedly driven off the road and became stuck. He allegedly failed field sobriety tests but recorded a .000 on a portable breath test. He later submitted to a urine test at Resurrection Medical Center in Chicago.
Lupy allegedly told police he had at least five prior DUIs from Georgia, Florida, Tennessee, and most recently from Elk Grove Village.
Jaroslaw Gierejkiewicz, 42, of 1026 Castilian Court, Glenview, was charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol, blood alcohol content more than .08 percent, no valid driver's license, no proof of insurance, illegal transportation of alcohol, and improper lane usage. An officer pulled him over at 7:17 p.m. July 14 on Milwaukee Avenue near Golf Road for allegedly crossing the lane lines. He allegedly failed field sobriety tests and later recorded a .169 on a breath test. Police allegedly recovered an open bottle of vodka from inside his vehicle.
Humberto Pantaleon, 29, of 3742 W. Diversey Ave., Chicago, was charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol, blood alcohol content more than .08 percent, and two counts of improper lane usage at 1:07 a.m. July 13.
Police stopped him in the 7200 block of Milwaukee Avenue for allegedly weaving between lanes and crossing the lane lines. He allegedly failed field sobriety tests and later recorded a .186 on a breath test.
Jose Virgen, 27, of 1626 Linden St., Des Plaines, was charged with two counts of aggravated driving while under the influence of alcohol, blood alcohol content more than .08 percent, no valid driver's license, no proof of insurance, illegal transportation of alcohol, and speeding. Police stopped him at 11:39 p.m. July 12 in the 7200 block of Dempster Street for allegedly driving at 54 mph in a 35 mph zone. He allegedly failed field sobriety tests and later recorded a .114 on a breath test. Police allegedly recovered two open cans of beer from his vehicle.
Tadeusz Dec, 48, of 7657 N. Oketo Ave., Niles, was charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol, blood alcohol content more than .08 percent, and improper lane usage at 8:14 p.m. July 12.
Police stopped him in the 7500 block of Milwaukee Avenue where he was allegedly swerving between lanes while driving a dump truck. He allegedly failed field sobriety tests and later recorded a .317 on a breath test, nearly four times the legal limit.
ALCOHOL
CHARGES
Jason Chalil, 25, of 7214 N. Kilpatrick Ave., Lincolnwood, was charged with public intoxication, intoxicated person in the roadway, and cost of emergency services. A citizen called to report a man trying to enter vehicles on Touhy Avenue. Police located him in the 6600 block of Touhy at 2:44 a.m. July 12 and transported him home.
