Advocate-Walgreens Partnership Seen As Positive

The new Walgreens building at 800 Devon Ave., Park Ridge, is still about a month from opening, but the drug store chain and Advocate Medical Group cut a purple ribbon anyway on May 18 to launch a new health clinic program, which will be operating at selected Walgreens in the area.

Boy, 5, Falls From 6th Floor Of Des Plaines Condo At River-Miner

A 5 year old Des Plaines boy was rushed to Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge Saturday afternoon after falling from the 6th floor of a familiar condominium building at the northeast corner of River and Miner streets in the city’s downtown.

Prospect Park Opens In Park Ridge Saturday

The official opening for the Park Ridge Park District’s new Prospect Park, 733 N. Prospect Ave., will be Saturday, May 28. A ribbon cutting is planned for 9:45 a.m. and activities and a general open house of facilities will run through noon.
