As students make their way back to school, some will benefit from the added security of knowing where their next meals are coming from.

A Journal & Topics analysis of Illinois State Board of Education data for the 2012-2013 school year found economically disadvantaged students qualified for free and reduced-cost meals under federal programs in very high numbers locally.
