“I was talking to my staff 10 minutes after I heard about it,” Elk Grove Village Mayor Craig Johnson said of the Boston Marathon bombings on Monday, Apr. 15.

Two bombs were detonated near the finish line of the Boston Marathon within seconds of each other, killing three people and wounding, in some cases severely, more than 100.
