MP Trustee Matuszak On Tax Increases

Mt. Prospect Village Trustee John Matuszak, running for another term in the upcoming April election, favored recent property tax increases to sustain common core services in the village like police, fire and public works.

“In 2010, the village did not increase the tax levy and cut staff instead,” Matuszak said. “Of course this led to service cuts. No government can substantially cut taxes without cutting services.”
