More than 100 law enforcement representatives Wednesday night
attended the Maine Township Gang Seminar from as far away as
Joliet. Local educators, parents, township officials including and
interested citizens participated. The event was organized and

For the last few weeks, Noma O'Brien of unincorporated Maine
Township says she has noticed two strange cars-one white and one
red-circling on the street outside her house.
O'Brien thinks the cars are being used to either make drug drops or
to collect money and thus are involved in gang activity. She voiced
her concern on the matter at a gang seminar Wednesday night at
Maine Township Town Hall, 1700 Ballard Rd., Park Ridge.
