Elvis Impersonator Allegedly Threatens Employees

These items are from Mt. Prospect Police Department incident reports. The Journal publishes this police blotter every Wednesday and Friday.

IMPERSONATOR WARNED

Police warned an Elvis impersonator who allegedly made telephone calls to Blues Bar, 2 W. Busse Ave., threatening employees. The man was thrown out of the business at 10 p.m. Jan. 16 for allegedly disrupting other patrons of the establishment. At about 10:45 p.m. Jan. 16, the suspect allegedly called the business, spoke to an employee, and said, "I'm going to put a bullet in your head." The employee called police who responded and discovered the suspect was still on the line. Police spoke to him and indicated he should not call the bar again. The suspect agreed, but then allegedly called again at 11:15, spoke to a different employee, and told him he was going to shoot him as well. Officers located the suspect's business card, contacted him again, and told him he would be taken into custody for trespassing if he ever returned to the business. Police attempted to locate him for further questioning but were unsuccessful.

FAKE ID CHARGE

An 18-year-old Park Ridge man was charged with possession of a fictitious driver's license and improper lane usage at 2:26 a.m. Jan. 4. Police pulled him over on Euclid Avenue near Rand Road for allegedly weaving over the centerline. During questioning, officers allegedly recovered a California driver's license that indicated the suspect was more than 21-years-old. The man allegedly admitted to purchasing the license from an online vendor so he could go into bars.

RETAIL THEFT CHARGED

Kazimierz Pawlow, 52, of 1743 Chariot Court #1A, Mt. Prospect, was charged with retail theft at 2:38 p.m. Jan. 16. Police stopped him at Dominick's Finer Foods, 1042 S. Elmhurst Rd., after he allegedly tried to leave without paying for a case of beer valued at $14.99.
