Man Robbed Of Laptop From Vehicle To House
A 35-year-old Mt. Prospect man reported being robbed near his home the morning of Apr. 15.
He told police he arrived at his home in the 200 block of North Louis Street at 5:06 a.m. As he walked from his car to his house, a vehicle passed him, and then two men got out and ran towards him.
The men yelled, "Give me your money," punched him in the chest, and kicked his legs.
The victim fell to the ground and one of the suspects pulled his computer bag from around his neck.
The bag contained a laptop computer, a cellular telephone, and his wallet with his driver's license, credit cards, and $170 cash.
Both suspects got back into the car driven by a third man and escaped.
The victim called police who tried to obtain the location of the cellular telephone through the service provider.
According to the police report, T-Mobile allegedly would not comply with the request stating the robbery did not meet their requirements for an emergency.
