Coulson, Nekritz To Update Residents July 8 At Wagner

State representatives Elizabeth Coulson (R-17th) and Elaine Nekritz (D-57th) will update voters on some of Springfield's hottest legislative topics, (campaign reform, ethics and taxes, for starters) on Wednesday, July 8, from 7-9 p.m. The League of Women Voters of Glenview will host the informal update at Wagner Farm, 1510 N. Wagner Road in Glenview for its members and the general public.

The General Assembly is currently in a Special Session called by Governor Quinn "to address the fiscal crisis confronting the state of Illinois." After briefing citizens on the highlights of the 96th General Assembly and the results of the Special Session, Coulson and Nekritz will answer questions from the audience.

"Find out how our legislators plan to tackles Illinois' immense budget shortfall and just what it will mean in terms of reduced services and/or higher taxes for Illinois residents," a League of Women voters spokesperson said.
