Police Blotter
The following records are from the files of the Glenview Police Dept. The Glenview Journal publishes its "Police Blotter" every issue:
DOMESTIC BATTERY CHARGED
Hector Romero Jr., 28, of 2134 Rugen Rd. Unit B, Glenview, was charged with domestic battery at 10:31 p.m. June 19 after he allegedly pushed a family member.
Donald J. Rutowicz, 48, of 3225 W. Lake Ave., Glenview, was charged with domestic battery at 10 a.m. June 21. He allegedly battered a family member and was taken into custody in the 3200 block of West Lake Avenue.
DISORDERLY CONDUCT CHARGED
Mohammad R. Bastinipour, 52, of 1435 Brandon Rd., Glenview, was charged with disorderly conduct at 9:15 a.m. June 9. He allegedly intentionally struck a woman's car with his car door, chipping the paint.
Jeffrey Rosengarden, 53, of an unreleased address in Glenview, was charged with disorderly conduct at 9:41 p.m. June 14. Police found him allegedly partially undressed at Ladendorf Park, 2541 Harrison St.
BURGLARY CHARGED
An 18-year-old Mundelein man was charged with residential burglary in connection with an incident reported in the 1400 block of Burr Oak Drive on June 11. He was apprehended by Chicago police on June 14 on a Lake County warrant and other charges in Chicago. During the investigation, Glenview detectives interviewed him and subsequently charged him with the local burglary.
THEFT CHARGED
Osvaldo Pedraza, 41, of 500 Love Drive #2B, Prospect Hts., was charged with theft at 4 p.m. June 25. He was stopped by Northfield police who discovered a blower inside his vehicle. That blower, valued at $600, had been reportedly taken from a landscaping truck in the 2000 block of Waukegan Road before 8:16 a.m. June 22.
PEOPLE CUT IN FIGHT
Two Glenview residents were cut with an unknown weapon during a fight at 12:41 a.m. June 16. A 27-year-old man and his 50-year-old mother were cut during the altercation in the 1200 block of 12th Street. They told police they went outside when they heard a fight involving several neighbors. Police identified everyone involved, but the parties allegedly would not cooperate with officers and no charges were filed. The two injured residents were treated at Advocate Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge.
DRUG CHARGES
Luis F. Perez-Lopez, 24, of 4300 W. Lake Ave. #A108, Glenview, was charged with possession of cannabis and possession of drug paraphernalia at 8:33 p.m. June 8. Police stopped him in the 1700 block of Tanglewood Drive.
A Morton Grove juvenile was charged with possession of cannabis and a Skokie juvenile was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia. Police stopped them at Woodmere Lane and Glenview Road at 6:30 p.m. June 10.
Two Glenview juveniles were cited after a traffic stop in the 1900 block of Dewes Street at 7:37 p.m. June 11. One was charged with possession of cannabis, the other with unlawful possession of tobacco products.
Sarah E. Dornfield, 22, of 2620 Harrison St., Glenview, was charged with possession of cannabis at 10:26 p.m. June 12. Police stopped her for an alleged traffic violation in the 1200 block of Milwaukee Avenue.
Michael P. Godzicki, 25, of 230 Shermer Rd., Glenview, was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia after a traffic stop in the 900 block of Highland Lane. He was pulled over at 10:59 p.m. June 12.
Three Glenview men were charged with possession of cannabis at 8:20 p.m. June 17 after a traffic stop at Central and Dearlove roads. Police cited Jaime K. Payne, 22, Nile Rogers, 22, and Leonardo Bugarovich, 23. Police did not release addresses of the three suspects.
Kevin M Lyon, 19, of an unreleased address in Evanston, was charged with possession of cannabis, possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of a fictitious identification card; Austin J Leshay, 19, of an unreleased address in Wilmette was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, illegal possession of alcohol by a minor, and possession of a fictitious identification card. Police apprehended them at 8:52 p.m. June 18 during a traffic stop at Winnetka Road and Mickey Lane.
DUI CHARGES
Aaron M. Wargo, 33, of 1426 Concord Drive, Arlington Hts., was charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol, improper stop on a red arrow, and improper lane usage. Police pulled him over at 1:19 a.m. June 15 in the 1800 block of Lehigh Avenue.
Dennis E. De La Mata, 60, of 1624 W. Erie St., Chicago, was charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol, blood alcohol content more than .08 percent, and speeding. An officer stopped him in the 1100 block of Harms Road at 8:48 p.m. June 20.
Marylane Biang, 45, of 1526 Pebblecreek Drive, Glenview, was charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol at 2:38 a.m. June 25. Police stopped her in the 1000 block of Depot Street.
Humberto Lagunas, Jr., 28, of 7000 N. Keating Ave., Lincolnwood, was charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol and improper lane usage. Police pulled him over at 12:16 a.m. June 28 in the 9800 block of Milwaukee Avenue.
ALCOHOL CHARGE
An 18-year-old Arlington Hts. man was charged with illegal possession of alcohol by a minor at 11:52 p.m. June 12. Police cited him after a traffic stop in the 1700 block of East Lake Avenue.
RETAIL THEFT CHARGED
Eugene P. Ertman, 31, of 7314 N. Drake St., Lincolnwood, was charged with retail theft at 7:03 p.m. June 15. He was taken into custody at Costco, 1900 Patriot Blvd.
Janet Nilles, 56, of 7852 N. East Prairie St., Skokie, was charged with retail theft at Kohl's Department Store, 2201 Willow Rd. at 3:20 p.m. June 24.
Eric W. Simonsen, 22, of 411 Marshall Rd., Northbrook, was charged with retail theft at 9:37 p.m. June 24. He was stopped at Kohl's Department Store, 2201 Willow Rd.
RETAIL THEFT REPORTED
Three men in their early 20s took several bottles of alcohol from Dominick's Finer Foods, 1340 Patriot Blvd., at 9:39 p.m. June 11. The merchandise was valued at a total of $1,400.
DRIVING CHARGES
An 18-year-old Wheeling woman was charged with driving with a suspended driver's license and no rear registration plate light at 9:58 p.m. June 14. She was pulled over in the 1200 block of Milwaukee Avenue.
Rodolfo B. Soriano, 31, of 3315 Lawrence Ave., Chicago, was charged with driving with a revoked driver's license. Police stopped him in the 1400 block of East Lake Avenue at 10:53 p.m. June 14.
Gerardo Colon, 36, of 2659 N. Monticello St., Chicago, was charged with driving with a suspended driver's license at 6:43 p.m. June 17. Police stopped him in the 600 block of Milwaukee Avenue.
Deena M. Kindahl, 38, of 3758 Salem Walk, Northbrook, was charged with driving with a suspended driver's license. She was stopped at 8 p.m. June 17 in the 1300 block of Milwaukee Avenue.
Francisco J. Ramirez, 21, of 870 E. Willow Rd., Prospect Hts., was charged with driving with a suspended driver's license, no proof of insurance, and speeding after a traffic stop in the 4600 block of West Lake Avenue. Police pulled him over at 7:34 p.m. June 18. He was also served outstanding warrants from Cook County and Rolling Meadows for traffic.
Felipe Martinez, 42, of 402 Pleasant Run Drive #1A, Wheeling, was charged with no valid driver's license and improper overtaking on the left at 11:52 p.m. June 19. He was pulled over in the 3300 block of Milwaukee Avenue.
Hopeton D. Daubon, 24, of 816 Brummel St., Evanston, was charged with driving with a suspended driver's license and speeding. Police stopped him at 7:27 a.m. June 20 in the 1900 block of East Lake Avenue.
Johnny L. Tatum, 35, of 2215 S. Kostner Ave., Chicago, was charged with driving with a suspended driver's license and suspended registration at 11:29 p.m. June 22. Police pulled him over in the 100 block of Waukegan Road.
Armando Vasquez, 21, of 5869 N. Nagle St., Chicago, was charged with driving with a suspended driver's license, no proof of insurance, illegal transportation of alcohol, and no rear registration plate light. He was stopped at 3:11 a.m. June 26 in the 300 block of East Lake Avenue.
Alberto Aguilar, 38, of 10078 Holly Lane, Des Plaines, was charged with driving with a revoked driver's license, no proof of insurance, and failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident at 12:14 p.m. June 27. He was taken into custody after an alleged traffic crash in the 9700 block of Milwaukee Avenue.
BURGLARIES AND THEFTS
Someone took a wallet containing credit cards and $450 from a car in the 4700 block of Locust Lane between 9 p.m. June 10 and 6:54 a.m. June 11.
A violin was taken from Pleasant Ridge School, 1730 Sunset Ridge Rd., before 4:15 p.m. June 17.
Someone pried open a garage access door and entered a home in the 1600 block of Pebble Creek between 4 and 10:11 p.m. June 21. It was unknown if anything was taken from the home.
WARRANT APPREHENSION
Robert G. Botta, 53, of 1914 Farnsworth Ave., Northbrook, was served an outstanding warrant from Glenview for driving while under the influence of alcohol. Police took him into custody at his home at 7:32 p.m. June 25.
VANDALISM REPORTS
Someone scratched the paint of a car in the 1200 block of Pine Street before 5:23 p.m. June 12.
Graffiti was spray-painted on a fence in the 1400 block of Pfingsten Road before 2:51 p.m. June 12.
Someone damaged the green and took the flag at hole number one of the North Shore Country Club, 1320 Glenview Rd. The damage occurred before 5:52 a.m. June 14.
A window was broken on a car at Anixter, 2301 Patriot Blvd., before 3:43 p.m. June 18.
