Renewed Interest In Pace ‘J-Line’

A proposed Pace “J-Line” express bus that would run from Schaumburg and O’Hare Airport’s planned western access transport hub to Naperville would pass through Elk Grove Village and is receiving new interest because of the Elgin-O’Hare West Bypass Expressway.

Man Suspected Of Trafficking Prostitutes

Troy Bonaparte, 45, of the 8000 block of South Ridgeland in Chicago, remained behind bars yesterday (Wednesday), his bond set at $75,000, on charges related to human trafficking after he was taken into custody by police at an Elk Grove Village motel last week.

Elk Grove Township Elementary School Dist. 59 board members last week approved, by a 4 to 0 vote, a new three-year collective bargaining agreement with the Dist. 59 Education Association (DEA) affecting approximately 500 certified teachers.

Mayor’s Son Allegedly Leaves Accident Scene

Elk Grove Village Mayor Craig Johnson paid $75 in bail to have his 22-year-old son, Craig Johnson, Jr., released from Elk Grove Village police custody after authorities questioned the youth about leaving the scene of an accident last Friday at about 2:30 a.m.

Red Light Opt Out OKd

Cook County commissioners voted to allow communities to opt out of the county’s red light camera program Tuesday after voting the program into existence earlier this month.
