Police Blotter
The following items are from Elk Grove Police Department incident reports. The Elk Grove Journal publishes the police blotter every week.
BURGLARY REPORTED
Computers, telephones, microwaves, a refrigerator, valves, copper screws and tools were taken from Kingshan Import Co., 1175 McCabe, between 6 p.m. Dec. 2 and 7:30 a.m. Dec. 3. The front window of the building was smashed to gain entry.
Several boxes of items were stolen from a garage at the 200 block of Banbury Ave. between 7:40 a.m. and 9 a.m. Dec. 8. The overhead garage door was found open and stolen items included a laptop computer, computer bag, MP3 player, cell phone, guitars, skateboards, jumper cables and cases of pop.
Numerous cars were broken into and GPS units stolen at 1160 Devon Ave. between 11:30 p.m. Dec. 1 and 6 a.m. Dec. 2. A Tom Tom GPS was stolen from a 2003 Pontiac Montana van, a Garmin GPS taken from a 2005 Dodge Durango, a Garmin GPS from a 2007 Chrysler Pacifica station wagon and a Sirius Radio from a 2009 Subaru Tribeca.
A Garmin GPS unit was stolen from a 2002 Subaru station wagon at 1045 Nerge Rd. between 10 p.m. Dec. 1 and 7 a.m. Dec. 2. The driver's side window was broken to gain entry.
Work equipment that includes a pipe machine, drill and hammer were stolen from an unlocked 2006 GMC work van at 2491 Estes between 7:30 a.m. and 3 p.m. Nov. 26.
THEFT REPORTED
A 1989 Wanamaker 48' semi-trailer containing numerous snow removal items and equipment was stolen from Midwest Moving & Storage, 1255 Tonne Rd.
A 2003 Hercules Cargo trailer was stolen from 800 Mark St. between 10 a.m. Nov. 28 and 10 a.m. Dec. 1.
A tire was stolen from two different trailers in the back lot of B & H Systems, 2250 Arthur Ave., between noon Nov. 28 and noon Dec. 5. A 1997 Heinz trailer and a 1999 48' trailer each had a tire missing.
Two catalytic converters were cut off a 2005 GMC Step van at ARO Enterprise, 1401 Tonne Rd., between 8:30 a.m. Nov. 10 and 1:15 p.m. Nov. 24.
SIX ARRESTS
Elk Grove police made six arrests last week with charges including retail theft, DUI, possession of a controlled substance, possession of cannabis, criminal trespassing and violation of bail bond.
Charged with driving under the influence was Sebastian C. Pawlowski of 2536 N. Clarke St. in River Grove.
