Police Blotter

The following items are from Elk Grove Police Department incident reports. The Elk Grove Journal publishes the police blotter every week.

THEFT

REPORTED

A 2003 Ford Explorer was stolen out a driveway at the 900 block of Kentucky Lane between 7 p.m. May 10 and 6 a.m. May 11. The complainant reported she had left the keys and other personal items in the vehicle.

A large amount of copper was taken from a storage cage at 835 Touhy Ave., Century Mold, between Apr. 1 and Apr. 28.

BURGLARY REPORTED

A large black bag containing a Blackberry cell phone and Dell laptop, as well as a printer, scanner and GPS system were stolen from a 2008 Ford Taurus at 1670 Landmeier around 10:30 a.m. Apr. 29.

A cell phone, I-Pass and gallon of paint were stolen from a 2000 Honda Civic at the 1700 block of Vermont between 10 p.m. May 2 and 8 a.m. May 3.

A Magellan GPS system was stolen from a 2006 Chrysler Sebring at 100 N. Busse Rd. between 10 p.m. May 6 and 11:30 a.m. May 7. The driver's side window was smashed on the vehicle.

An Omni GPS system was stolen from a 1993 Chevrolet Blazer at 1645 Louis Ave. between 9 a.m. and 10 a.m. May 9. The passenger side window was smashed.

A Garmin GPS system was taken from a 2007 Toyota 4Runner at 1530 Louis Ave. between 8:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. May 9. The passenger side window was smashed.

A Garmin GPS system was stolen from a 2006 Mitsubishi Lancer at 1800 Howard St. between 8:30 a.m. and 5 p.m. May 9. The driver's side window was smashed.

Two folding knifes were stolen from behind the front desk of Rear Entry Door, 1521 Pan Am, between 5:35 p.m. May 7 and 12:55 a.m. May 8.

A red Trek model 3700 mountain bike was stolen from an open garage at the 10 block of Shelley Road between 9 a.m. May 5 and 5 p.m. May 7.

DAMAGE TO PROPERTY

The rear window of a red Honda SUV was smashed while at the Elk Grove Theatre parking lot, 1050 Arlington Heights Rd., between 6:40 p.m. and 8:20 p.m. May 9.

A 2006 Pontiac Grand Prix was keyed while parked at 100 Northwest Point Blvd. between 8:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. May 6.

TEN

ARRESTS

Elk Grove Police made ten arrests this week with charges including DUI, theft, possession of cannabis, and leaving the scene of a property damage accident. Two of the ten persons arrested reside in Elk Grove Village.

Those charged with DUI were Marek Sek of 33 N. Waterford Dr. in Schaumburg, Timothy J. Harrison, of 225 Applewood Lane in Bloomingdale, and Jacqueline P. Hoffman, of 1616 Churchhill Rd. in Schaumburg.
