Police Blotter

The following items are from Elk Grove Police Department incident reports. The Elk Grove Journal publishes the police blotter every week.

THEFT

REPORTED

A man reported leaving his black aluminum wheelchair in the back parking lot of 2420 York and after returning, it was missing. The theft occurred between 11 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. Apr. 20.

Wallpaper and other wallpaper products were reported stolen from the back lot of RM Sellergren and Assoc., 350 Crossen Ave., between 7 a.m. Apr. 22 and 8 a.m. Apr. 29.

A man reported leaving his HP hand-held computer in his hotel room at 2550 Landmeier Road and it was missing upon return. The theft occurred between 5 p.m. Apr. 23 and 4:15 p.m. Apr. 24.

A Compaq laptop computer was reported stolen from a hotel room at 1601 Oakton between 6:30 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. Apr. 25.

A Makita saw, Motorola cell phone and two Motorola two-way radios were reported stolen from 1595 Jarvis Ave., Westower Communications, around 6:30 p.m. Apr. 17.

A woman reported someone removed her Apple iPod from her backpack, which had been sitting on a reception desk at 8 E. Devon Ave. between 8:30 a.m. and 4 p.m. Apr. 22.

BURGLARY REPORTED

A GPS unit, purse containing wallet and money and a cell phone were taken from a 2005 Chevrolet Malibu at 1414 Armstrong between 1 p.m. and 6:10 p.m. Apr. 23. The front passenger window was smashed to gain entry.

A GPS unit was stolen from a 1990 Cadillac Seville at 1000 block of Brantwood Ave. between 5:30 p.m. Apr. 21 and 8:30 a.m. Apr. 22. The driver's side window was smashed on the vehicle.

A Tom-Tom GPS unit was stolen from a 2006 Chrysler PT Cruiser at 500 Busse between 7:45 a.m. and 4:15 p.m. Apr. 25. The front passenger side window was smashed.

A Magellan GPS unit was stolen from a 2001 Mitsubishi Eclipse at 509 Busse between 4:15 and 4:45 p.m. Apr. 25. The driver's side window was smashed.

A GPS unit was stolen from a 1998 Chevrolet Silverado Truck at 1842 Brummel between 1 and 3 p.m. Apr. 25.

DAMAGE TO PROPERTY

Pry marks were reported on the driver's side front door and passenger front door of a 2003 Isuzu Rodeo at 1601 Oakton between 4:30 a.m. and 2 p.m. Apr. 23. Nothing had been taken from the vehicle.

FOUR

ARRESTS

Elk Grove Police made four arrests last week with charges including violation of bail bond, DUI and retail theft.

Charged with DUI was Derek B. Hildreth of 13937 S. Oregon in Plainfield and charged with DUI-drug was James W. Grienenberger of 115 Boardwalk St. in Elk Grove Village.
