County Car Stickers At Township Hall
Cook County vehicle stickers for 2008-09 are currently on sale at Elk Grove Township Hall in Arlington Heights.
Any individual with a vehicle registered in unincorporated Cook County must purchase and display a 2008-09 sticker by Monday, June 30.
Seniors only have to purchase one sticker for the life of their vehicles.
If seniors purchased a senior Cook County vehicle sticker last year and still have the same vehicle, they do not need to buy a new sticker. If seniors need to buy a senior sticker this year, it will be good for the life of their vehicle.
Additionally, seniors who have purchased a senior sticker in the past two years, but receive a renewal notice, should disregard a renewal notice they receive from Cook County.
Elk Grove Township Clerk Mike Sweeney will have extended office hours prior to June 30 in order to sell Cook County vehicle stickers to those who are unable to stop into Elk Grove Town Hall, during regular business hours.
The extended business hours are scheduled for the following dates and times:
* Thursday, June 5, 4 to 7 p.m.
* Saturday, June 14, 9 a.m. to noon
* Thursday, June 19, 4 to 7 p.m.
* Saturday, June 28, 9 a.m. to noon.
Any individual who believes he or she received a ticket relating to a vehicle sticker from the Cook County Sheriff's Dept. in error should contact Sweeney.
The boundaries of Elk Grove Township are Central Road to the north; Mt. Prospect Road to the east; Devon Avenue to the south; and Rohlwing Road; generally Route 53, to the west.
The township serves approximately 66% of Elk Grove Village; 55% of Mt. Prospect; 20% of Des Plaines; 15% of Arlington Heights and 10% of Rolling Meadows. About one-fourth of the geographic area of the township is unincorporated, a large portion of which is Forest Preserve.
