Debut 'Nature Shack', Celebrate Earth Day Apr. 20

A combined celebration will be held in Elk Grove Village, Sunday, Apr. 20.

In recognition of both Earth Day and the grand opening of the Olmstead Nature Shack, residents are invited to Olmstead Park from 1-4 p.m., to learn about the benefits of "going green" by recycling a variety of household items.

Animal demonstrators, kid-friendly workshops and entertainers will be featured. There also will be a collection for recyclable items such as cell phones, gym shoes and plastic bags.
