Sewer Line Under Rail Line Requires Emergency Fix

Close to 200 feet of a sanitary sewer line in Elk Grove Village will need to be replaced after a break in the line occurred last week.

The break was in the village's industrial park between Estes and Greenleaf avenues.

The sewer line is under a railroad line making the repairs more difficult and costly. Village Manager Raymond Rummel said 180 feet of sewer line would need to be replaced.

Rummel informed the village board of an emergency bid awarded to the Leno Toeuy Company at their Tuesday, Mar. 25 meeting.

The bid was the low bid of four awarded for the work.
