Vince Vaughn Sightings Likely

Actor Expected To Film At Choo Choo Next Wednesday

By TODD WESSELL Journal & Topics Editor

Vaughn in "Couples Retreat"

Downtown Des Plaines next Wednesday, Mar. 10 will probably see the likes of comedian Vince Vaughn and other actors with the scheduled filming of a television pilot show at the Choo Choo Restaurant, located at Lee and Jefferson streets.

A 3 a.m. "crew call" has been scheduled at the Choo Choo next Wednesday with filming continuing as late as 4 p.m.

The production is about two post college grads who move from the suburbs to the city. A conversation regarding the move takes place at the Choo Choo, according to an application submitted to conduct the filming that was recently submitted to the city. Who will star in the production and its name is unknown.

Vaughn is the director of the show and Vail Romelin producer. Neither returned numerous telephone calls made to them this week by the Journal & Topics Newspapers. Funny Little Man Productions, LLC is the production company.

As part of the application, Funny Man is hiring two off-duty Des Plaines police officers.

Vaughn has strong Chicago roots having attended Buffalo Grove High School where he played football and wrestled and Lake Forest High School, where he graduated.

His film acting roles include The Lost World: Juraissac Park, Old School, Dodgeball, Anchorman, Wedding Crashers and most recently Couples Retreat.
