Police Blotter

DRUG CHARGES
James A. Schilling, 21, of 5024 W. Berwyn Ave., Chicago, was charged with possession of cannabis and possession of drug paraphernalia at 10:45 p.m. Nov. 26. Police stopped him in the 3000 block of River Road during a roadside safety check. Officers allegedly recovered a plastic pill bottle containing suspected marijuana and a colorful glass pipe.
Jaime Flores, 19, of 1847 E. Morse Ave., Des Plaines, was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, illegal possession of alcohol by a minor, leaving the scene of an accident, and improper turn. He was allegedly involved in a traffic crash at 12:07 a.m. Nov. 29 at Oakton and White streets. Police located the front end of his vehicle nearby with the license plate still attached. Officers located the vehicle near his home and took him into custody at his house. A ceramic pipe was allegedly located inside his vehicle.
Richard L. Palmer, 48, of 2010 S. Pine St. #122, Des Plaines, was charged with possession of cannabis with intent to deliver, possession of cannabis, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Police were called to his apartment for a report of a disturbance at 2:30 a.m. Nov. 29. When he answered the door, he allegedly had a cut on his cheek with blood running down his face. Officers requested permission to enter the apartment to check the well-being of other guests. While investigating, police allegedly recovered 22 plastic bags containing suspected marijuana, two scales, two pipes, and $3,210 in cash. The money was seized pending forfeiture procedures.
DUI CHARGES
John Butzow Jr., 58, of 4224 Rolling Oaks Drive, Carrollton, Texas, was charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol, blood alcohol content more than .08 percent, no proof of insurance, improper stopping on a roadway, and no rear registration plate light. Police stopped him at 11:39 p.m. Nov. 26 in the 2000 block of Rand Road.
Jeffery L. Fultz Jr., 36, of 931 E. Rose Ave., Des Plaines, was charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol and no proof of insurance. He was apprehended at 2:05 a.m. Nov. 27 during a roadside safety check in the 3000 block of South River Road.
Amelia Iribarren, 30, of 1835 S. Clarence Ave., Berwyn, was charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol, blood alcohol content more than .08 percent, expired registration, and improper lane usage. Police pulled her over at 2:54 a.m. Nov. 27 in the 1400 block of River Road for allegedly weaving between lanes. She allegedly failed field sobriety tests and later recorded a .194 on a breath test.
Celsa Quezada-Gonzalez, 34, of 39 W. Dover Drive #1, Des Plaines, was charged with aggravated driving while under the influence of alcohol, blood alcohol content more than .08 percent, no valid driver's license, no proof of insurance, and improper lighting. She was pulled over in the 1500 block of Pennsylvania Avenue at 2 a.m. Nov. 29 for allegedly driving without headlights. She allegedly failed field sobriety tests and later recorded a .172 on a breath test.
RETAIL THEFT CHARGED
Salvador Ponce, 20, of 151 N. Addison Rd., Bensenville, was charged with retail theft at 9:50 p.m. Nov. 26. He was taken into custody at K mart, 1155 E. Oakton St., after he allegedly tried to leave without paying for six DVDs and a knife valued at a total of $103.24.
GAS THEFT REPORTED
A woman in a gold Lexus RX300 took gasoline valued at $28.65 from Citgo, 795 W. Golf Rd. The theft occurred at 4:24 p.m. Nov. 27. The vehicle registered to an address in Oak Park.
DRIVING CHARGES
Andre D. Folie, 43, of 724 N. Cicero Ave., Chicago, was charged with driving with a suspended driver's license and disobeying a traffic control device at 3:14 p.m. Nov. 29. An officer stopped him in the 3000 block of Mannheim Road.
STOLEN VEHICLE
A tan 1993 Oldsmobile CIS was taken from the 1600 block of Howard Avenue between 11 p.m. Nov. 27 and 8:30 a.m. Nov. 28.
CAR BURGLARY
A window was broken and a global positioning system taken from a blue 2007 Ford Freestar in the 500 block of South Mt. Prospect Road at 5:20 p.m. Nov. 26. The car owner saw an unknown subject run from his vehicle.
VANDALISM REPORTS
Someone keyed all sides of a red 2002 Subaru WRX in the 500 block of Florian Drive between 11 p.m. Nov. 25 and 6 p.m. Nov. 26.
Three inflatable Thanksgiving and Halloween decorations were slashed in the 900 block of Leahy Circle East between 5 and 10:30 p.m. Nov. 26.
Someone in a group of about 10 people smashed two solar lights in the 500 block of South Mt. Prospect Road at 5:55 p.m. Nov. 28.
A window was broken on a green 1997 Ford Explorer in the 900 block of Willson Drive between 10 p.m. Nov. 29 and 10:20 a.m. Nov. 30.
