MAN

DRAGGED

A 29-year-old Des Plaines man reported being the victim of a road rage incident at 1 a.m. Nov. 8. He told police another vehicle was tailgating his on Walnut Street. He stopped his vehicle near Graceland Avenue and walked back to the other car. When he got there, the driver grabbed him by his coat and dragged him along the vehicle to between Margret and Second streets where he fell to the ground. Officers checked the area for the other car but did not locate it.

PROPERTY

CHARGE

Andrew S. Pilolla, 20, of 2520 Central Rd., Glenview, was charged with possession of stolen property at 10:46 a.m. Nov. 6. Police stopped a vehicle in the 1300 block of East Webford Avenue for an investigation of an alleged theft from Home Depot in Niles. During the investigation, officers learned Pilolla, a passenger in the vehicle, allegedly took a drill from Lowes in Northbrook. Police recovered the drill. The driver of the vehicle was not taken into custody because Home Depot refused to sign complaints against him.

DUI

CHARGES

Edwin A. Voltaire, 29, of 1772 S. River Rd., Des Plaines, was charged with two counts of aggravated driving while under the influence of alcohol. Police stopped him in the 100 block of East Oakton Street at 3:49 a.m. Nov. 5.

Monica F. Mosqueda, 30, of 1101 W. Holiday Lane #4, Des Plaines, was charged with aggravated driving while under the influence of alcohol, no valid driver's license, and no rear registration plate light. Police stopped her at 12:50 a.m. Nov. 6 in the 700 block of West Holiday Lane for the alleged lighting violation. She allegedly failed field sobriety tests and later refused a breath test.

Nicole A. Summerhill, 24, of 370 Beau Drive #1, Des Plaines, was charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol, blood alcohol content more than .08 percent, improper lane usage, and disobeying a traffic control sign. At 4:22 a.m. Nov. 9, she allegedly entered Cumberland Circle from westbound Golf Road. A witness said she did not stop for the stop sign, drove straight across the lanes of traffic onto the center island, struck a landscape brick wall, and knocked over a street light pole. She allegedly failed field sobriety tests and later recorded more than the legal limit on a breath test.

CHARGES

Tina T. LeFlore, 33, of 1816 S. Mannheim Rd., Des Plaines, was charged with possession of cannabis, driving with a suspended driver's license, and no front license plate. She was stopped for the alleged registration violation at 11:14 p.m. Nov. 7 in the 2000 block of South Mannheim Road. During a search, officers allegedly recovered a plastic bag containing suspected marijuana under her floor mat.

Eleazar Nunez, 36, of 2436 S. 11th Ave., Broadview, was charged with possession of a controlled substance, driving while under the influence of alcohol, blood alcohol content more than .08 percent, failure to give information after striking property, and improper lane usage. He allegedly struck an unknown object in the 1900 block of South River Road at 6:35 p.m. Nov. 9. A witness told police Nunez got into another vehicle and fled the scene. Police traced him through the registration of the vehicle left on the scene and took him into custody in the 2800 block of South Eisenhower Avenue. During a search, officers allegedly recovered a plastic bag containing suspected cocaine from his person.

RETAIL THEFTS

REPORTED

An unknown man took six packages of strip steaks from Jewel food store, 819 E. Elmhurst Rd., placed them in a backpack, and fled without paying. The theft occurred at 4:15 p.m. Nov. 5. Officers checked the area but did not locate the suspect.

The same woman in a blue 1995 Buick has allegedly performed 14 drive-offs at Speedway Superamerica, 885 E. Touhy Ave. The most recent incident occurred at 2:59 p.m. Nov. 6 with the earliest happening on July 1. The manager did not report the thefts until he was able to capture the suspect's license number, police said.

A woman took items valued at a total of $60.94 from Walgreens Drug Store, 1378 E. Miner St., at 12:59 p.m. Nov. 7. An employee confronted the woman in the parking lot. She left the bag of items and fled in a black 2002 Chevrolet that registers to an address in Bartlett. Officers recovered video surveillance footage of the incident.

SERVICE THEFT

REPORTED

A taxi driver told police he brought two men from the 3600 block of West Lawrence Avenue in Chicago to the 7-Eleven at 825 W. Oakton St. at 11:34 p.m. Nov. 7. They tried to pay for the $36 fare with a credit card that was not accepted, then told the driver they would get money from the ATM inside the store. After about 15 minutes, they came out of the store and fled on foot into a nearby apartment complex. Officers recovered video surveillance footage of the men from the store.

Perla I. Correa, 25, of 500 W. Touhy Ave. Lot 32, Des Plaines, was charged with no valid driver's license at 7:40 a.m. Nov. 5. She was taken into custody after a traffic crash in the 2400 block of South Mt. Prospect Road.

Cristina P. Cruz, 23, of 8079 Foster Ave., Niles, was charged with no valid driver's license, no proof of insurance, and failure to yield right of way while turning left. Police took her into custody after a traffic crash in the 1200 block of East Golf Road at 6 a.m. Nov. 5.

Horacio C. Medina, 25, of 2511 N. Tripp Ave., Chicago, was charged with no valid driver's license and no rear registration plate light. Police stopped him at 5:45 a.m. Nov. 5 in the 1600 block of East Elk Boulevard for the alleged lighting violation.

Miguel Xelhua, 23, of 1725 E. Howard Ave., Des Plaines, was charged with no valid driver's license and improper lane usage. He was pulled over at 7:57 a.m. Nov. 5 in the 100 block of East Touhy Avenue.

STOLEN

VEHICLES

A semi-tractor and trailer were taken from the 1800 block of South Elmhurst Road between noon Nov. 6 and 8 a.m. Nov. 7.

A bicycle was taken from the 600 block of Beau Court between 2 and 6:30 p.m. Nov. 5.

BURGLARIES

AND THEFTS

Someone took $1,600 from an apartment in the 1300 block of Ashland Avenue between 9:30 a.m. Nov. 4 and 9:30 a.m. Nov. 6.

A checkbook and a backpack were taken from a blue 1994 Honda Civic in the 1500 block of Times Drive between 8:30 a.m. and noon Nov. 6.

A cellular telephone was taken from a 2004 Honda Civic in the parking lot of Lattof YMCA, 300 E. Northwest Highway. Someone took the car keys from an unlocked locker inside the club to enter the vehicle before 8:45 p.m. Nov. 4.

Tools valued at $1,310 were taken from a white 1995 Ford Econoline in the 1500 block of Hills Avenue between 1:30 and 7 a.m. Nov. 7.

Someone took a car key from a locker at Lattof YMCA, 300 E. Northwest Highway, between 7:15 and 9 p.m. Nov. 7. The vehicle was not entered.
