School Applies For Permit Year Late
A healthcare school that's been operating in Des Plaines since the fall of 2007, is applying for a city-issued Conditional Use Permit-something that was required before it opened for business.
Jethro Healthcare School has been operating at 650 W. Algonquin Rd. since last September, according to Scott Mangum of the city's Community Development Dept., without the permit. The location is in a small strip shopping center east of Elmhurst Road. To legally operate, a Conditional Use Permit must be obtained. Members of the Des Plaines Zoning Board of Appeals will hear the request at its Tuesday, Aug. 26 meeting in City Hall at 7:30 p.m. with final approval required by City Council.
The facility provides instruction for students aspiring careers as dialysis and pharmacy technicians.
The petitioner is Joviel Christian Reyes and landlord is Tom Koulouris.
