Zoning Board Hears Higgins Building Plan

The Park Ridge Planning and Zoning Commission planned to hear a site plan review for a new commercial building at 742 Higgins Road.

The commission met on Monday, May 12 to examine the proposal for a new one-story commercial development. The location was the home of a former Budget Rent-A-Car business that closed several years ago. The developer appeared before the Appearance Commission on Thursday, Feb. 21. The plan must still get final approval from both the Appearance Commission and the Planning & Zoning Commission. In addition, the location is within the Higgins Corridor for which the city is still completing a redevelopment plan. In an earlier interview, Carrie Davis, acting community preservation and development director, explained that could affect the construction of the building.
