Journal's Winter Break Schedule
Due to the Christmas and New Year's holidays, the Journal in Des Plaines, Mt. Prospect, Prospect Hts. and the East Maine Township areas will publish only once in the next two weeks. Normally, the Journal publishes Wednesdays and Fridays in those communities. That twice a week frequency will resume on Wednesday, Jan. 10.
Next week, the Journal will publish all editions only on Thursday, Dec. 28. The same will occur on Thursday, Jan. 4. This schedule has been in place for the last several years.
The Journal & Topics Newspapers, publishers of 16 community newspapers as well as a dozen travel guides is the only newspaper in the area that gives its readers two days of purely local news coverage.
To receive home delivery via U.S. mail, call the Journal offices at 847-299-5511. Copies can also be purchased for 50 cents each at hundreds of area newsstands.
